CCM EXTREME FLEX 4 PRO SENIOR GOALIE PADS

New for 2019, CCM has developed their newest adaptation in the Extreme Flex franchise. The all new CCM Extreme Flex 4 Pro Senior Goalie Leg Pad pushes the limits of design while providing the competitive advantage of foot speed and seal to the ice.

Starting off with the face and graphic of the CCM Extreme Flex 4 Pro Senior Goalie Leg Pad, CCM has used a traditional flat knee roll as part of their visual design. On the graphic, the CCM EF4 has created a new visual look that utilizes triangle shaped large color areas, a long color zone to break up the outer edges and inside color zones and then three long triangle accent streaks which contains rippled lining throughout these three zones to create a shadowing effect.

Throughout the pad, you will find CCM’s proprietary “SpeedSkin” synthetic stamped material that creates a new level for style and function. It is designed to perform the best out of all materials offered and is meant to increase the ease of sliding and glide that a goalie needs during use.

Continuing the build of the pad, the CCM EF4 Pro Senior has new DuaLiteCore Technology which promotes torsional flex to maximize movement on the goalie’s feet and works together with a reinforced stiffer thigh rise to create a better seal and coverage on the ice. The CCM Extreme Flex 4 Pro Senior stock comes with a single outer break and a pre-curved single inner break core to help close the goalies 5 hole. CCM EF4’s new 90 Degree Ultra Soft boot allows the goalie to get into a deep stance and load up for powerful pushes without the pad fighting against the goaltenders leg. The construction of the shin and boot on the CCM EF4 allows for the pad to give a spring like flex during play to work with the deep and natural movements of the goaltender.

Moving on to the outer gusset of the pad, the CCM EF4 Pro Senior uses a thinner profile on the top of the pad in the thigh and knee area to allow the pad to hug the leg and sit closer to the body, not only in the stance but down in the butterfly as well. Down to the knee channel, there is a new adjustable and removable outer knee cradle wrap that can be moved up or down. The outer knee wrap is set on Velcro slots that allow the goalie to completely remove this wrap, if they want to angle down their knee strap. At the knee block, the EF4 knee raiser uses 3D Grip and Injection molded EPP Foam (Expanded Polyproplyene Foam), which is a high quality, lightweight and flexible foam to help create a comfortable landing for less stress on the goalies knees.

On to the leg channel, the CCM EF4 Pro Senior features a revised Quick Motion Strapping System that sits on the inner area of the leg channel on top of the goaltender’s calf just below the bend of the knee. CCM’s Quick Motion strap promotes a responsive connection between the goaltender and their pad that can be tightened or loosened up for the goalie’s preference. The Quick Motion strap that sits on the outside of the leg channel and goes through a loop on the opposite side of the leg channel and doubles back for a comfortable and secure feel.

On the theme of full elastic strapping, the boot of the CCM E4 Pro Senior now features a Flexible Toe Bungee style system. These flexible toe ties allow the goalie to get their skate close and tight to the pad so that the CCM EF4 pad will stay up on their leg in all movements. The toe ties also help the goalie get a large range of emotion with no restriction to help get quick and powerful pushes when in the butterfly.
