BAUER SUPREME 1S OD1N SENIOR GOALIE PADS

Starting on the face of the pad, the 1S OD1N features C.O.R.TECH Skin technology which stands for Coefficient of Restitution Technology. No longer are graphics being sewn onto the pad, Bauer has engineered a skin comprised of Cross linked Polyethylene foam, with Curv Composite additives, lycra-spandex, poly-urethane, digital printed graphics and clear coat to seal it all in. With these five layers, the result is a more responsive pad which kicks out rebounds further than before. Sliding speed is dramatically increased with having all seams, stitches and potential bindings getting in the way.

As mentioned above Bauer has been exclusively using Curv Composite in their skates for a long time and they have now coupled that material into their pads. From the bottom of the knee to the top of the pad, Curv Composite is molded into the foam to create an even more solid pad seal and allow the rebounds to kick out even more. The Curv Composite also doubles as added durability as it will not allow the pad to drop or shrink over time.

The 1S OD1N pad features a new style strapping system similar to their player line of Supreme Shin Guards. The Custom Rotation System allows for full Velcro strapping and adjustments for an extreme dialed in fit. The CRS straps both run above and below the calf muscle for a secure fit and the CRS Anchor straps runs in the middle of the calf from the outside of the leg to the inner leg. Next Bauer has taken traditional boot and toe strapping to another level, with simplifying the pieces making it simpler and faster for goalies to be dressed. The elastic toe ties now resemble a bungee cord effect where it can be tied tight to the front of the skate, but also allow for ultimate freedom of movement and tension release on the ankles. The boot strap is also made of an elastic material which provides the same function as the toe ties. Next, the 1S pad features a removable and adjustable outer knee lock which continues the theme of the goalie being able to dial in their strapping and find what works best for them. This addition will give goalies the option to keep their pad snug across the knee, or angled down to the calf for a wide open feel. Also, the pad comes with a revamped Supreme Knee guard which affixes directly to the knee. These knee pads are lined with Curv composite for ultimate protection.

Poron XRD has been used in Bauer products for years and it has proven to be extremely comfortable but provide extra protection when needed. The entire knee lander is made of the XRD foam which provides a stable, yet comfortable landing surface.
