Bauer uses an anatomical build for the 2S shoulder pads, providing a close-to-the-body fit that feels natural and promotes power with every movement. And like the top-of-the-line 2S Pro, the 2S model includes new low-profile shoulder caps. These caps enhance the anatomical fit while providing increased mobility. The cap construction also includes IX foam for added protection. 

Enhanced protective features are found throughout the 2S shoulder pads. Bauer includes molded HD foam in the floating sternum construction; full coverage front side panels with Vent Armor foam; independent back side panels with perforated foam; molded HD foam in the spine with additional rib coverage; and anatomically molded HD foam in the arch. With these features, Bauer offers you excellent all-around coverage.

Bauer’s 2S shoulder pads also include the top-end Active Motion Protection in the bicep construction. AMP technology provides a greater range of motion around the bicep for excellent mobility in this key area. AMP also gives this dual bicep construction an extra layer of protection against impacts. 

Inside the shoulder pads, Bauer includes their Thermo Max+ liner. This technology is comfortable against your torso and has moisture-wicking properties to help keep the pads light during play and to  dry out the shoulder pads quickly in between skating sessions.
